Assessing multiscale city dynamics through online social networking data

Open data generated by location-based social networks is steadily growing. Visualizing and analyzing this data open new opportunities for professionals of the built environment to the multiscale assessment of the city. This lecture illustrates how social media can be used as a key source of information for the recognition of local-scale social processes and large-scale urban dynamics.
