GEOS event – Missing Maps

missing maps

Date and time: Thursday Februari the 18th, 18:00 – 21:00

Location: Room C, Architecture, TU Delft

GEOS, the study association of Geomatics for the Built Environment, will facilitate the first missing maps event in the faculty of architecture at the TU Delft.

Are you interested in committing a tiny bit of your free time to a good cause? Are you interested in maps? Are you interested in mapping far away territories? Maybe you want to meet like-minded people? Then come and join us at a Missing Maps Event at the TU Delft Faculty of Architecture!

During a Missing Maps Event (or mapathon as some call it) we map regions in crisis to support disaster and humanitarian relief in this area. These maps then help the Red Cross and other organizations on field to manage their operations. Do not worry if you have never done this before, there will be a short introduction on how to do it. Just bring your laptop and your enthusiasm along and enjoy some casual mapping among great people.

Some snacks will be provided, but feel free to also bring your own.

Please don’t forget to bring your laptop and its charger in case you need it. A mouse makes work much easier, bring one if you have.
