GEOS, the student association of Geomatics for the Built Environment at TU Delft, organises a guest lecture with Ed Parsons, Geospatial Technologist of Google, the 28th of September.
Ed Parsons is the Geospatial Technologist of Google, with responsibility for evangelising Google’s mission to organise the world’s information using geography. In this role he maintains links with Universities, Research and Standards Organisations which are involved in the development of Geospatial Technology. He is currently co-chair of the W3C/OGC Spatial Data on the Web Working Group. (source: http://www.edparsons.com/)
Ed Parsons will talk about the importance of geospatial technology for the future of mobile computing. The title of the talk will be “Solving the dead cat problem”.
